At last, results

Well, first off I've been told that I SMARTBoard is a product name and I should refer to that type of tool as a Interactive Whiteboard (IWB). Searching the topic of interactive presentation media yielded lots of sales pages but little in the way of classroom materials, apart from slide presentations. However, the optional reading for ELPC, "The impact of digital technology", discussed IWBs over several pages and dutifully provided several references. References I'll look up.

Additional note though: Blogger on Android's default browser will let you make a post, but not put anything in it...

SMARTBoards

So I played with a SMARTBoard for the first time today. I was quite fun, controlling Firefox and then paint with my hands. However I kept on trying to use the board like a touchscreen, which it wasn't (how it actually works is something to look into). Also, I couldn't work out how to "draw" on it with the pens.

"Interactive presentation materials" or something like that will be the first topic for ELPC.
